#Bitcoin changes politics at a fundamental, foundational level. It allows people to engage in politics without partisanship, without needing to choose one politician over another. It makes the politics of principle a real platform for conversation rather than just an empty platitude.

I teach a class on Money & State (Evolution of Money). Every session, students seem to realize how upside down the world really is under a fiat system. Soon, they will realize that #Bitcoin is intangible but real, and that fiat is tangible but fictitious.

#Bitcoin allows people to engage in politics without personalities. This is why the most appropriate adoption model is from the ground up—from individuals to families to communities. Then the rigid structure of local and national governments will simply follow.

every fight that needs to be fought or any debate that needs to be had—whether you’re from the left or center or right or whatever shade of the spectrum you think you’re in—will invariably have an aspect of “money” in it. #Bitcoin enters every conversation.

In the future, people will see #Bitcoin not as digital gold, or gold 2.0, or digital money, or an investment but simply as money. It will just be “the thing” they use to pay for goods/services and save in. In the future, there will be no need to explain what Bitcoin is. The gap between the here and now and that future depends on plebs doing the missionary work of building the social network necessary to reach critical mass adoption.

Moving to a world where Bitcoin is the global reserve asset and humanity’s cash is hard, for sure. It’s nothing less than changing the tires and rails of a moving train. But that train is heading off a cliff and all of us are in it. We either survive a catastrophe or avoid it. This is why we need to educate for mass adoption as Bitcoin simultaneously scales and develops through Lightning and other uses. This is the way.

On January 2023, #Bitcoin formally entered the educational system in the Philippines with a course on Money & State at the College of Law of Silliman University. On March 9, 2023, a book on bitcoin will be launched in Silliman University. This book will serve as basic text for law students.
