Earlier tonight, a U.S. Navy MH-60R Seahawk helicopter was observed rapidly losing altitude on flight trackers after squawking 7700, the transponder code indicating a general emergency.
A U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon is now heading toward the area where the helicopter transmitted the distress code.
There is a strong possibility that the MH-60R crashed into the sea, though this has not been confirmed.

Question: What is the US going to do about the risk of bubonic plague coming from Russia?
TRUMP: Well we're looking at it very strongly
Trump: "Canada behaves very badly with the United States. We've caught them in the act. They charge us a lot of tariffs that nobody knew about except me."
Question: Is the UK still a safe space for US forces?
TRUMP: I think it is, and I have a very good relationship with your new prime minister. He's liberal, very liberal, but I hear he's gonna open up North Sea oil
President Trump on oil supplies and refinery capacity:
“The lack of refineries is the problem. We have tremendous amounts of oil coming out of the Strait of Hormuz — we have that so good — but we have a lack of refineries because of the war, having to do mostly with diesel.”
REPORTER: "Do you think there's a risk that Iran has brought combat drones into the U.K.?"
PRESIDENT TRUMP: "I can't tell you that, but if they did, they'll suffer greatly."
Following the meeting of the foreign and defense ministers of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, the three nations have agreed to activate the Mecca Joint Defense Pact and send forces to Saudi Arabia, due to ongoing hostilities between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis, even though the Houthis were not mentioned by name in the statement on the measure. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) says it redirected the 130th commercial vessel today while enforcing the naval blockade of Iranian ports, which it says remains fully in effect. CENTCOM says it resumed the blockade July 14 at the direction of President Donald J. Trump.
It says U.S. forces have disabled three ships that refused to comply, and that over the past 12 weeks it has destroyed 13 commercial vessels that were violating the blockade or were part of the Revolutionary Guard's "multibillion dollar shadow network." CENTCOM also says more than 70 humanitarian aid ships have been allowed through.
Admiral Brad Cooper, CENTCOM commander, said U.S. forces "will swiftly act against any vessels trying to run the blockade." The Wall Street Journal reported Sept. 25 that officials said the U.S. has no intention of lifting it.
During the first naval blockade of Iran from April 13 to June 18th, CENTCOM redirected at least 140 compliant vessels, disabled at least 9 and allowed at least 50 ships to pass on humanitarian grounds.

Over the weekend, Ukrainian forces launched dozens of balloons to carry FPV attack drones deep behind the southern frontline.
After making it to the Russian rear area, the drones detached from the balloons and struck logistics traffic along the R-280 highway.

Yemen's government says it has launched a "strategic offensive" to retake Sanaa from the Houthis and claims it captured the Red Sea city of Mocha on Monday. The Houthis deny losing the coast. Neither side's claims have been independently confirmed.
An assistant defense minister said phase one targets Mocha and Bab el Mandeb, the strait at the southern entrance to the Red Sea. Yemeni government forces say they took Mocha with air support, captured Houthi fighters, took Wahijah to the south, and hold Dhubab airport. Witnesses said Houthi fighters left some positions near Mocha. The Houthis fired two missiles at the strait area.
Near Taiz, the Houthis say they drove government forces out of two districts and now hold more than 2,000 square kilometers of the province. The government says more than 50 Houthi vehicles pulled back from positions west of the city.
Houthi officials said their strikes will become "more searing and more expansive," and warned that Saudi airspace is unsafe for civilian flights except over Mecca and Medina. To that end, flights inbound to Riyadh have been disrupted several times today.

According to both the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, citing officials with knowledge on the matter, the reason for the withdrawal of all 12 B-1 Lancer bombers from RAF Fairford was due to the threat of a plot against the base. This follows the foiling of a plot to divert authorities, in turn allowing for an attack against the base, last week. Controversially, the UK released the five individuals arrested on suspicion of explosives and planning a terrorist act, with UK authorities saying that they were released under “stringent” supervisory measures.
