His (predictable) takes on Bitcoin as “money” were: • It’s still mostly a speculative asset, not a stable medium of exchange • Too risky and volatile. • Most people are naturally risk-averse • Most Bitcoiners are in it for profit • The U.S. dollar, historically, has been relatively stable I used my standard lines to strike down these comments. How do you address these questions to your family and friends? It’s amazing why when it comes to money it’s so hard to show them why they are losing even though they see it. I get that it’s a change to a system as old as time. But throughout history money has changed. We are lucky enough to be witnessing and being part of the version upgrade in our lifetimes.
