Every week, I do a drawing for a computer giveaway. I use the Linux core utility 'shuf' to randomly select a subscriber of my email newsletter. This week I will be giving away a refurbished Lenovo ThinkCentre M710q Tiny with Linux pre-installed (or $50 worth of BCH or XMR) For a chance to win, just be a subscriber. #Linux #TinyMiniMicro #Lenovo #giveAway #BitcoinCash

"There are two ways PC makers can offer low-cost computers. One is to use newer components that are designed to be cheap. Another is to select older components that used to cost a lot of money, but which can now be purchased at a discount." The Xeon processors in these are really good, but more than ten years old. I'd prefer to build my own, but I think it is great that some PC maker companies are doing this. I wish they'd pair AMD graphics with these instead of nVidia... but likely they can more easily source the nVidia graphics. #Intel #Xeon

#nVidia #GraphicsCard This is how I feel about nVidia graphics cards. I do understand why people buy them. The performance is usually good on Windows PC. But I am a Linux guy. I prefer AMD or even Intel graphics over nVidia. If you have a PC, what kind of graphics card do you prefer? image
