Man in his mid-50s. Barefoot. Cotton dress. Two tote bags. Standing like a misunderstood prophet in the middle of Berlin Central Station, umbrella in hand. This city gets more awkward by the day glad I’m only visiting. And yet… Berlin, you’re still that weird uncle I can’t stop loving. 😱

I’m in my mid-thirties, the world feels like it’s losing its mind and I’m lying on the sofa next to my parents, feeling more grounded than I have in weeks. One day, I hope I can be that kind of safe space for someone too. 🥹

Just realised the full insanity of this country’s tax system… In Germany, if I buy Bitcoin, hold it for three months, and the price goes up then use it to buy a laptop, I have to pay taxes on the difference. Didn’t sell. Didn’t cash out. Just spent it. But the Finanzamt says: “That’s a sale. We want our cut.” So yeah… even using your own money can make you a criminal here. #SteuernsindRaub. Need. An. Escape. Plan. 😱

The biggest communication problem is we do not listen do understand. We listen to reply! 🫂💜

Organized a tombola at our summer fest yesterday and of course, a few plebs showed up without a Lightning wallet (still don’t get how you call yourself a Bitcoiner without one 🙃). Strict rule: no tickets for fiat. So... I onboarded them to @primal , sent them some sats, and voilà: ticket bought, lesson learned. End result? New Nostriches. Sats flowing. Mission accomplished. Happy Tanja. 🧡

I don’t know what happened today. We had a summer fest @Terahash.space 70 Bitcoiners. At a company. In Germany. Sunshine, proper Asado, meaningful conversations. Still processing.
