"Respect everyone." We as a society have become very confused about the term respect. Like with trust, respect must be earned. Politeness and common courtesy should be granted. Respect has been hijacked by critical theory types to imply that offensive disagreements should be suppressed at all costs. This is wrong. You can be polite with somebody whom with you disagree with on very fundamental things. You can hold those disagreements firmly but courteously. Respect has come to mean a dissolution of principles to make way for degenerate collectivism. You have to earn my respect.
