A few days ago, I went to a Dev & Designer Meetup in Calgary.
Meeting new people is a big skill
Most conversations circled around the usual: small talk, beer, and the “right” opinions. It did not last long until the most where drunk.
I never drink. Sitting with my water.
Less German understand. But i never care.
Right at the entrance, a German guy approached me - the only one there.
Before I even settled in, he started giving me tips on how to build a life in Canada.
And when he saw my portfolio, he said: “Oh, you’re working in Crypto.”
My eye twitched.
„No. Not Crypto. I’ve supported many Bitcoin projects
and that’s not the same thing.“
But of course he knew it better. Explained why the money should be in control of the government and vaccination is a human right to protect each other - whaaaat ? 😳
He has 4 shots
I ve none.
Honestly, I’m tired of explaining this. Especially to people whose first sentence already reveals how little they actually know.
In the past, I would have argued, explained, justified myself.
Not anymore. I stayed calm. I listened. I asked questions.
And I noticed: when I don’t feed these conversations with my energy, they lose their power.
Since starting my own business, I’ve dealt with plenty of disrespectful people.
The most important lesson I’ve learned: listen, set boundaries, stay calm. Leave.
👉 We waste so much energy on debates that serve no one.
Whether it’s politics, food choices, or money.
Right vs. left.
Vegan vs. meat.
Bitcoin vs. fiat
It’s never about “winning.” It’s about listening, staying grounded, and protecting your energy.
How do you handle it when someone comes at you with half-knowledge or disrespect

Welcome to America. Now I know why they never use the train 😉🫣🥲

Choose the places where you are treated best
Never accept people crossing your boundaries.
Even once is one to much.
Truly listen.
Watch
Understand
But leave
When it’s time.
No emotion
No argument
Don’t waste your energy
You should use it to run up the mountain and doing pull-ups.
Building your business…
Stay Independent
It is your own individual path.
No one stays forever.
Only you spend the time with yourself the whole life
Create the world that fits you.
Not your partner.
Not your parents
Not the society
If people start arguments
Interrupt you.
Never listen.
Ends up in Gaslighting
You should have left already.
Your gut feeling is an amazing tool.
Listen!
Really listen.
You are not here to heal others trauma.

Hehe
Signs are there lol
