I know the prevailing argument is not having a closed source algorithm is good (and I agree), but sometimes I browse the For You tab on X and actually appreciate coming across different types content that I wouldn’t normally. Curious to see how Nostr vets go about that.

Seems like censorship just continues to grow. Meta, the #UK, Canada - doesn’t matter where in the world. X(Twitter) and some other platforms seem to be fighting it but they aren’t fully capable or decentralized. Its a depressing and discouraging trend but it makes me glad that #nostr exists.

Another noob #nostr question - Just activated my wallet and got a random address. Is it possible to change that?

I signed up for Nostr 2 years ago but was inactive until watching the panel from Bitcoin 2024. AmericanHodl and the others talked about how great the signal-noise ratio is and I gotta say - literally within my first couple of posts people have been extremely warm, helpful, and welcoming. Stuff like this is why I’m in Bitcoin. Excited to explore more!
