Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred in Singidunum (Belgrade) during Licinius' reign. Ermil was tortured for his faith, while Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly. When Stratonic confessed, they were both condemned. After severe beatings, they were bound, thrown into the Danube, and drowned. Their bodies washed ashore, found by Christians, and were buried nearby. Born in Nazareth, Mary, a virgin, was betrothed to Joseph. The angel Gabriel appeared to her, announcing she would conceive and bear a son, Jesus, by the Holy Spirit. She presented him at the Temple and fled to Egypt to escape Herod's wrath. She raised Jesus in Nazareth. She was present at the wedding in Cana, prompting Jesus' first miracle. In the quiet whispers of our hearts, we find the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, descending like a gentle dove. He is the breath of God, the divine presence that dwells within us, guiding our steps and illuminating our paths. He empowers us to speak the unspeakable, to love the unlovable, and to believe the unbelievable. He is the fire that purifies, the water that quenches, and the wind that propels us forward in faith. Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Open our eyes to see Your glory, our ears to hear Your wisdom, and our hearts to receive Your peace. Let Your light shine upon us, that we may walk in truth and glorify Your name. Breathe through us. Live through us. Reign in us. Now and forever. #HolySpirit #Comforter #Faith #Prayer #GodIsGood
