Legend says, while seeking a location, a divine voice guided him to a hidden spring. There, with royal support, he built the monastery, a fortress of spirituality. Martyrs Montanus and Maxima, during the reign of Emperor Diocletian, refused to offer sacrifices to pagan idols in Sirmium. For their steadfast #Faith, they endured torture and imprisonment. Offered freedom if they renounced Christ, they refused. Maxima, initially wavering due to her youth, was strengthened by Montanus's resolve. They were sentenced to death. As they were led to execution, they praised #GodIsGood, encouraging others to remain true to their beliefs. Their unwavering commitment inspired many to embrace #Christianity. In the harsh prison of Communist Romania, Father Arsenie, unjustly sentenced, was mocked by a cruel guard for his faith. The guard challenged him, demanding a miracle to prove God's existence. Fr. Arsenie, filled with divine grace, pointed to a barren wooden stick lying on the ground and commanded it to bloom. Instantly, before the astonished eyes of the guard and other prisoners, the stick sprouted leaves and blossomed with fragrant flowers. In the Roman fortress of Durostorum, now Silistra, Bulgaria, Saint Lupos, the faithful servant of Saint Demetrios, witnessed his master's martyrdom. Dipping a cloth in Demetrios' blood, Lupos received miraculous power. He shattered idols, healed the sick, and converted many. When arrested and commanded to worship idols, Lupos refused, denouncing their emptiness. In his defiance, he shattered the idols before the Emperor Maximian. Enraged, the emperor ordered his execution. Saint Lupos surrendered his soul to God through beheading, joining his master in eternal glory.
