All the green leaves are now finished. I’m really loving how it’s coming together so far, and I’m so happy with how much better I’ve gotten at stitching leaves. I found them really difficult when I first started embroidering 🤍 #embroidery #handembroidery #nostr #flowerstr

Now I’m looking at my reference to see which green leaf comes next, and I suddenly notice that I made a mistake right at the beginning. 🙈 Can you spot it? I embroidered the circle in green instead of gray/cream. Now I have to decide whether to carry on and adjust my design accordingly, or take it all out and start again. While I simply use satin stitch for the small leaves, with the stitches meeting in the middle, for larger leaves I prefer a stitch that creates a stem down the center of the leaf in the same motion. Zoom in closer and you’ll see the difference 🤍 #embroidery #handembroidery

I always do this by holding it up to the window, using a Frixion pen.
