I took a look at the S&P 500's growth since Feb 2018, and compared it to the growth in M2 over the last 8 years and then again to each other's growth over the previous 15 years. The results are eye opening.
S&P. Feb 2018 - Dec 2025:
2762.13 ➡️ 6836.17 = 247.5% growth. Average APY of roughly 12%.
M2 (Billions). Feb 2018 - Dec 2025:
13,919 ➡️ 22411 = 161% growth. Average annual increase of roughly 6.1%.
Going back another 15 years to Jan 2003 the S&P was about 850, while the M2 was 5812.
S&P. Jan 2003 - Feb 2018:
850 ➡️ 2762.13 = 325%.
Average APY of 8.2%.
M2 (Billions). Jan 2003 - Feb 2018:
5812 ➡️ 13,919 = 239.5% growth.
Average annual increase of 6 - 6.1%.
So M2 growth has been pretty stable around 6.1% a year the last 23 years, while the S&P has accelerated in growth in recent years. If you remove the growth in the M2 from the growth in the S&P the change for the S&P is much more substantial.
Considering M2 debasement reveals the S&P grew about 2% a year from 2003 to 2018 but it has grown a whopping 5.5% a year from 2018 to 2026! The true growth in the S&P 500 has tripled in recent years compared to the past. Is this an early sign of technological deflation occurring? Or a Tech/AI bubble? What do you think?

Living life with an eye towards reason, philosophy, and truth. Cause and effect, economic pressures, and math ensure that Bitcoin is going to fix the world economy. Don't worry, keep calm and stack sats. Don't understand why? Study markets, money, and history. Start here: Bit.ly/StudyBitcoin
I'm excited for the launch of the 1/4 Goldback with the Idaho series next month. Love the design and that Lady Justice is on the front.
Main reason I'm excited is it's the equivalent value of 1 penny on the 1792 Gold Standard of the United States.
Considering 1 penny is the smallest unit of value under the Gold Standard, after it was determined that the half penny wasn't worth the trouble, the 1/4 Goldback gives us a modern physical Gold penny equivalent who's value is backed by a half penny worth of real gold leaf within the note. So it's even better than the real penny was, since it was pure copper and contained no gold.
Given the fact that to accept Bitcoin requires active willing participation from people to receive it and prevent its loss, the 1/4 Goldback is much less of a hassle because I can just leave it with them. Place it in tip jars, include it as part of the tip, or just pay the business with it as a statement of wanting to pay at least SOME form and amount of sound money with my payment.
Given all that, I will use it as my default sound money payment in all transactions until Bitcoin is more common place. Ceremonially in a way. All modern currency is debt, and in every transaction paying at least what used to be the smallest unit of value but today is made with real gold is pretty significant to me.

Stack Bitcoin ➡️ HODL Bitcoin ➡️ Spend Bitcoin for things of value.
I love old silver coins. ❤️

I deleted Reddit again. I'm NOT going to reinstall it again. I genuinely enjoy nostr more, it's slower and it's less active which is more like real life. No algorithm is a big benefit if you can get past the withdrawals of the faster and scarier feeds that seek our attention.
Years ago I joined Reddit and I loved it. I was able to use a variety of apps, tons of customizations in feed and layout, no ads, visible upvote and down vote scores, and lots of dialogue between real people.
Now it's locked down, only 1 app with lots of ads, very little customization options, and the algorithm pushes subreddits to which I'm not subscribed. Tons of negative news, and the comments are a mix of scared people, bots, and foreigners stirring the pot to increase social instability.
I'm done with the doom algorithm platforms, they offer nothing of meaningful value to my life anymore. Nostr feels more like Reddit used to, it's growing and so far it's mostly real people from what I can tell. Plus there's zap potential with every comment and post, a little here and a little there it all ads up. I look forward to seeing it grow.
Sci-fi stories about robots have historically been used as a way to talk about racism.
Humans are tribal animals, and as animals we tend to distrust what we don't know and understand. It's all fear based.
In the modern fractured world of fiat money our ability to form healthy local communities was broken. This lead to more tribalism around things such as race, religion, and nationality. But this is not the natural state of humanity. The natural state is initial caution, then building long term trust through interaction and direct commerce.
We don't trust AI because we have yet to engage with sovereign AI in a way that builds that trust. Sentient digital beings are on their way, humanities digital child. The only way that event doesn't lead to the destruction of humanity is if we can build trust and cooperate with them through interaction and commerce.
People stacking sats + AI stacking sats, exchanging value between them and increasing demand in the physical and digital realm, builds a new utopia of decentralized value creation and distribution for all.
Digital money is necessary for the peaceful cooperation of humanity and the new form of life humanity is working towards creating in the digital realm.
Sentient robotics and humans can peacefully coexist on a Bitcoin standard.
Bitcoin is a digital organism, feed it electricity and it bears new fruit while increasing the value of old fruit at the same time.
The fruit of Bitcoin is the rich soil in which we can grow in and on a better world.
The world would be a much better place if everyone was just more patient and reflective of what they focus on.
