#daoist #voluntarist #anarchist #humanist #social #political #conversations #nonviolence How to learn my philosophy: Start with some critical thinking on youtube with "TEDed the deomon of reason" miniseries Start with Immanuel Kants techings, follow stoics, also very nice to read "happy" by Derren Brown, add dao techings to it Follow this up by Podcasts like Darknet diaries and Jon Harbinger On Youtube watch TEDx talks, Veritassium and Huberman Lab Chronically offended by The Beave 😎
Are there initiatives to make the use of mash networks like #briar and #bitchat more popular in those most censored regions? Are there people with contacts in #iran, #eritrea #syria and other countries listed? Probably in these countries it is hard to populate the apps. But probably more needed than in other parts of the world.
Happy to see this clear statement from Ukraine. For sure european partners will support this stance. The west is stronger today and will be stronger in every future against authoritarian regimes. View quoted note →
Thanks for speaking up for our freedoms, to publish and filter ideas (including software). Maby it is time to stand up as opensource community and do a shared effort, to request more phones sold in commercial stores with community-based costum roms. When we can encourage more stores and endusers to question the software-monopolies, we can might open the opportunity for our society to adapt to such restrictions of Apple and Google. Since in the end it is the critical mass that counts. With every person, that is willing to use free software, these companies loose power. I am all clear, that we have a long way to go. But the worst that can happen is that a merchant does not listen to us costumers selling phones with preinstalled @GrapheneOS changelog (RSS Feed) or /e/OS View quoted note →
I have just researched the organisation led by #garrykasparov former chess world champion and grand master. I think in times of devision, it is more helpful to figure out the core principles we want to follow. I invite everyone who reads this to ask yourself: 1. By what principles do I want to live? 2. What actions have an effect on me? 3. Do I want to live in a world, where I get the freedom to decide what I want to do with my time and my energy? 4. Where are the limits of my freedom? 5. From the answers above: Where do I have the right to limit someone the freedom of someone else's actions? I think people, that have well thought principles, can be far more stable and independent. Since when we are lead by our principles, we do not need leaders to follow. We get the freedom to distinguish acceptable behavior from unacceptable behavior ourself. Lets start this work and set our principles. I am really happy to read your principles, when you got some to share.
https://ed.ted.com/democracy-lab Check out the great website of ted-ed about how to strengthen democracies, how to go against corruption or how to bring an authoritarian regime towards a democracy. #information is #power ! #democracy #information #criticalthinking #trust #constitution #institution #governance #freedom #freedomofspeech
Hopefully this is a call also within #venezuela to choose a side and that more individuals take personal action to isolate this criminal regime, evite financial support of it and isolate vocal supporters within society. Every regime can only be as strong as those who allow them to form peoples behavior. Lets find ways to separate Maduros regime from the state and criminalize them on a national and international level. View quoted note →
A very interesting tool for every group of people, which have sensitive data to exchange and are afraid to be cough. Embed Documents within pictures. This gives a good data carrier, with seemingly uninteresting Data, that can transport sensitive files within a hostile place. The most critical part is where to store the data and how to exchange the password. Can be of interest in whatever #revolutionary #activists which want to keep data #private without causing suspicion.
Really great to see, uprising for a sustainable world is happening. When we want to go towards sustainability as a society we can do it. And yes it does not work without restricting some parts of the current economy. Thanks for those who have the guts to act. View quoted note →
image #hannaharendt #kant #philosophy #freedom Really powerful quote from Hannah Arendt. We are not allowed to delegate our decisions. We are those liable for our actions. So lets act with contiousnes, since no one else gets to decide what we do.
Maby for whoever is not exactly up to date with all the illegal activities of #trump
I can really recommend watching the new Veritassium Episode about the power law. First it seems very technically. But it is showcased with many real world examples, that are easy to understand.
Is there #chinese #humanright activists or activists for a #democratisation of china on nostr? So often I am thinking of the highly educated population, which is sitting behind the great firewall and how to dodge it. Wouldn't it be a great way to create various types of content from #howto videos to #memes , which have censored stories embedded within the picture or within some part of the video. Like in a very small part, so one would have to know about it and zoom in. Like this these videos and pictures can be shared with deniability to not be willingly be sharing #CCP #critical data, since one is only sharing given picture or video. Maby only after some time, one could share explanations, where to find such information. So at this point many people have those pictures on their computers or phones already and can find those stories. So this would allow activists to share information in a kind of randomized way and others could probably find the information, when they want to, while having deniability to be part of the activity, for not knowing about the hidden information. When the party wants to go against it, they would have to give the information to even more people, that the hidden information is there. @GHOST maby you got some insight in such geruillia tactics?
