Thanks a lot for this very well balanced article to give a closer look to what freedom of speech means in the USA. π«΅
And it is so true what you state in the end. We as individuals should take the opportunity, read and understand our constitution and request the government to conform with it.
Clearly in a good case, we directly try to live along these good principles.
Quiet often we speek about the freedom of speech. I know the freedom to listen and to read makes a fragment of free speech. But could be a very important part. Since it is the one part in a discussion, where we can grow. With new ideas, we receive from others.

How to learn my philosophy:
Start with some critical thinking on youtube with "TEDed the deomon of reason" miniseries
Start with Immanuel Kants techings, follow stoics, also very nice to read "happy" by Derren Brown, add dao techings to it
Follow this up by Podcasts like Darknet diaries and Jon Harbinger
On Youtube watch TEDx talks, Veritassium and Huberman Lab

I am no vegan. But I do my best lowering meat and dairy consumption low.
I really like meat. Do I think it is ethically better to eat plants than animals? Yes.
Am I too lazy to get rid of all my consumption of animal products? Yes.
What do you do to decrease your perconal impact on climatechange?

Is there a central bank in the world, which gives new money in equal shares to the people living in this country?

I really think this Ted-Talk is really great for every person that communicates here and there. So practically every person. Also Nostriches like me could favor a lot.
Essentially saying, that the person that sends a message should try to understand the audience. It is not about what I want to say. It is about what you gonna want to hear.
Difficult but powerful.
Thanks for sharing this great resource. I will defnitly contact the owner to add some nostr apps to social media. Social media seems kind of outdated.
But it is a great site to share ππͺ

I as an individual need to learn how to spot the difference of facts and fakes. Mastering this skill helps me individually:
1. To have a more reality driven perspective on the world.
2. To have more linear arguments.
3. To have reliability, which directly is linked to my reputation.
4. As part of society I make part of the general understanding. Means when I get a fact-based perspective, society is more fact-based thanks to me.
Therefore I stay motivated to spot fact-based and relevant information and repost or post it. And treat the rest as noise. Since even when majorities beliefe in noise. When noise gets louder it will not be more true for that.

Fighting fake news: tips to keep your biases in check
Misinformation is everywhere. Win the battle in your mind with these tips to keep your biases in check and develop more critical thinking.
#AngelinaJolie expresses: "Anything, anywhere, that divides or, of course, limits personal expressions and freedoms, and from anyone, I think, is very dangerous."
Hopefully more people speak up publicly against this government taking away personal freedoms to hold more power within the white house. The best we can do is to follow sources, that still express criticism. Find ways to fund them. Be it by an abonnament, donation or however. #USA has to stay part of the free world.
