Couldn't we make our private data part of intellectual property rights? And based on this restrict the legal use of personal information - like real Name, date of birth, insurance number, ID-number, domicil, IP-connection and more - to a absolute minimum? And whenever someone wats to store these data longer than a certain minimum (like maby 30 days), they would have to present an active personal subscription, where they pay this specific individual for the use of their data or present a way to offer granular acceptance and decline of certain data points for a specific usecase the user is requesting. Like using the date of birth, since the user requests that their followers know their birthday.
I know many business models will have to change a lot of their practices. Tracking companies can even loose their business model.
But it seems of high importance to me, in order that we can continue living in a free society.

How to learn my philosophy:
Start with some critical thinking on youtube with "TEDed the deomon of reason" miniseries
Start with Immanuel Kants techings, follow stoics, also very nice to read "happy" by Derren Brown, add dao techings to it
Follow this up by Podcasts like Darknet diaries and Jon Harbinger
On Youtube watch TEDx talks, Veritassium and Huberman Lab
Chronically offended by The Beave 😎
Such a great video. Perfectly showing how youtube and such work today. Sometimes it seems to me most are so familiar with this, that they seem to accept this. What is wrong with people using such services actively? There is literally no pressure at all using them.

I invite you to really read the 30 human rights word by word on your own. I had my first contact in a course at my university. But for the last 4 years since then, I never stopped seeing the importance of that knowledge.
In a best case, people would learn about it in every level of a public school system. Since our human rights are fundamentals to #free societies.
So anyone, who did not have the privilege to read them in the past, make use of your time to read them in your present. Since they are yours, no matter where you live, no matter what your government sais. Human rights stand above all laws. Be never ashamed to break a law in order to defend someones human rights! When you are a human being, you got the right to be treated by those:

What the hell. Where is the national guard, when it would be most needed to get mentally corrupted police out of their work?

Echt erfrischend. Lese ich gerne wieder 🫵🤩

Explicit communication matters!
Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed by global geopolitics. Or by problems like #climatechange which seem to not been taken seriously?
I think a big global disability is that we often think linear and with a 0-sum-game (Is the fact when the total amount of something is finit, like I can only gain a Bitcoin, when someone else is spending or donating one to me) mindset.
So often it seems to me people forget about the lose-lose (when you hit me, then I hit you back) and the win-win (I want some cash, but willing to invest my time, while someone has got no time to clean their apartment but got some cash to pay a fair amount to compensate the work) situations.
And when we are creative enough, there is an incredible amount of win-win opportunities in situations where we could only see 0-sum-games.
For example in social wellfare, some people only see how they pay taxes for others who do get money without working.
Also we can see, that the receiving person is might in a temporarely rough situation. Lot of jobs are gone in the industry this person was working. With the money of the welfare state, this person gets the opportunity to learn new skills in a branch of the economy which has a brighter future. Maby in healthcare.
With this help the person can start to be a net positive to society much faster, than when this person was only falling deeper into depth and would have a hard time to bring in food or pay the house. When I have an accident or a grave illness might this person cares about me again. Or when not for me, this person will care about some other people within society to improve their health thanks to the investment into education.
So the same situation can have several perspectives. None is incorrect. But which one do you choose to see? The one that shows you the purpose of taxes or the one that makes you hate taxes? The probability that you have to pay them are probably the same, no matter what is your opinion about it.
Have a great day 🙌
#privacy #browserfingerprinting #javascript #js
I want to give out some facts about browser fingerprinting, how to defend against it and that defending against it has a big effect no matter how deep your computer has been fingerprinted before.
Browser fingerprinting is a strategy of tracking companies, where they collect settings in your browser and hardware information of your machine, to identify you uniquely. To get a fingerprint, which is not identifyable over various sessions, you got two basic strategies.
1. Minimize amount of data a website can get:
Disabeling javascript either completely or with a plugin like noScript or uBlockOrigin, to blacklist or whitelist websites, which can execute javascript (since javascript can leak a lot of hardware data about your machine).
Block tracking pixels and known trackers.
2. Randomize datapoints:
Spoofing data like canvas fingerprinting, using standard windowsize instead of maximizing.
To follow any of those two strategies or both, the first step would be to download a browser, which is designed for privacy. Since commercial Browsers like Chrome or Edge directly defeat all efforts, since they use a unique identifier.
And the great thing about these strategies is that you will gain privacy no matter how much of your fingerprint has been linked to your personality already. Since once you are not identyfiable anymore, trackers will not be able to link your current session with older ones. This means it is always the correct time to start your journey into more privacy.
