Just had to block someone on Twitter. Haven't had to do that yet on Nostr. It's amazing how much more positive interactions here are. You don't get these types of people here. ☝️

Any of you swear by a paid relay? Does it make a difference. I'm not getting all my notifications, and it's starting to irritate me. Would a good, paid relay fix this?

Imagine. One day you might give someone a zap worth hundreds of thousands of dollars in today's money because you're a real G and the charity you fancy uses Nostr to fundraise. That will be a great day.

Nostr is going to pay out to two kinds of people. ⚡ 1. Really clever content creators. 2. Warm people who build their tribe out of honest and positive interactions. One person may post complex vids and write music. Another may just be a reply star and make people feel good with their honest positivity. But those who can do both will really prosper.

I don't care about politics anymore. I am an ardent anarcho-capitalist, however, I see the way forward for the freedom I want is not through consensus but by out-competing the current system by building parallel systems. This will be done with #Bitcoin, citadels, and national arbitrage. I'm much more bullish on this after discovering Nostr. Nostr is going to be a very powerful tool to organize independent communities. We are so early, but I see a day when Nostr will permit likeminded people to create their own communities with their own standards.

Post a song you're grooving on currently, and the best song IMO will get a 10K sat zap! Contest ends tomorrow morning, when I pay out. Runner up prizes will be fewer sats, but I'll zap every song I like something. Go! I'll start.

Nostr reminds me of the early days of the 2+2 poker forum. Super intelligent people posting high-signal notes or at least really funny notes. Any out there remember those days and posted there?

I am not getting notifications on all my new followers. Anyone know why this is the case? Bad relays?

I think people who have a decent following but follow zero people are douches.

My advice to everyone on Nostr is to try to follow everyone back everyone who follows you. Don't worry about your ratio yet; we are still so early. Everyone who is on the site now is worth following. I even follow back people on Twitter who have few followers who I know are on Nostr. Speaking of which, if you follow me on Twitter and I don't follow you back, let me know here and I'll remedy it.
