I believe in transparency when it comes to pricing. Buying an original artwork can be quite an investment, and no one likes surprises. That’s why every piece I create will have a set price.

The final study in this series. This ornate frame works really well with the stateliness of the bust. Lucky I have a bunch of these frames in different sizes.

Study with bust (2025) - Oil on panel, 40x50cm
In other news, I’ve received my first commission yesterday! Very happy to start working on it.

I really enjoyed painting this bust. With a limited palette, the focus shifts entirely to values — light, shadow, and form. It turned into a perfect study and a stepping stone toward the final piece in this series.

This piece brings together everything I love to paint: the organic flow of roots, the play of light in glass reflections, and the sharp, structured contrast of AirPods.
Sharing some close-up details, hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Framed and finished. Seeing a piece in its frame always feels like the final touch.

Still life with orange IV (2025) - Oil on panel, 24x30cm
My final working this series wasn’t planned. The painting of the metal cup gave me the idea to do a so-called ‘master copy’ of an earlier work.
Not only because it’s a work I really enjoyed painting, but also to see how my style has changed. So here it is (with properly placed autograph this time)!
Swipe to see the original.

Still life with Roemer (2025) - Oil on panel, 30x18cm
Painting glass can be tricky, but very rewarding. Fun fact: These are real 18th century German Roemers that were found in a house in Delft.

Still life with metal cup (2025) – Oil on panel, 24x18cm
Metal is always a challenge, but also incredibly rewarding to paint. This piece came together more smoothly than expected. I’ve added a second image with a related teapot. Maybe you’ll notice how my style has shifted between the two.

Sometimes the simplest change makes the biggest difference. By using this cloth, the focus stays entirely on the painting. No distractions, just the work itself.
I’m considering moving to wall shots soon, once I find the perfect spot to let the art truly breathe.
