Good morning #nostr! I drove for 11hours yesterday. Starting off the day charging my car and my brain. #coffeechain image

Good morning #nostr This is my morning view in the summer. We dont have midnight sun in this region of Norway, but since I have a very good line of sight to the north-east I get to see the sun just as it rises above the horizon. Love the vibrant colours. #plebchain image

Good morning #nostr! What is your «20 mile march»? Do you have a daily act of constrained self-discipline that you try to achieve every day? Currently, mine is doing one Spanish lesson on Duolingo every day.

Back in his prime Bill Gates regularly issued nightmare memos to his employees. His fears were channeled into action to always stay a step ahead. This reminds me of Roald Amundsen’s redundant supply depots, always anticipating the unforeseen. I think this is a brilliant example why we must accept that we will all face forces and events beyond our control. On a similar note, we must also reject the idea that external factors will determine our success. In «Great by Choice», Jim Collins refers to this as productive paranoia. #bookstr #goodreads #grownostr

Roald Amundsen and Falcon Scott both reached the South Pole. But, although they both dealt with the same circumstances, the same ratio of good and bad weather, the outcomes could not have been more dramatically different. Jim Collins explains brilliantly in «Great by Choice» how these divergent outcomes resulted from the different behaviors Amundsen and Scott displayed. On one hand, Amundsen had prepared for this years ahead and devised a robust plan with markers, contingencies and redundant supply depots, in case they lost track of their course. He even brought with him four thermometers, while Scott brought only one, and it broke. #grownostr #coffeechain
