Kendrick Lamar “Not Like Us” is a fiyah jam but where did the sample come from? Two samples were used primarily from Monk Higgins “I Belive to My Soul”. Pitched up 6+ and WHALAH… always dope to find these gems.

Shake it… Shake it. I like to use toys around the studio to complete the groove tracks. Fun and funky.

Mixing day… when you play/ record all of the instruments on the track and then arrange a tune, I suggest you give yourself a separate day for mixing. It’s a healthy approach for your mental clarity and your ears!
