After years we are still doing some basic landscaping of the property - time preference in nature is much lower 🌱 So every winter-spring season, there are lots of bush and tree cuttings to handle. And the common easiest way is to burn them in open fires. Turning the branches into woodchips for paths and protecting young plantings is another good idea, but the suitable machines are pricy and heavy. We like to keep the work simple and manual as much as our time and energy allows ... and I really love these powerful fires! We took our breakfast down to the valley this morning 😍 Some people say we live in the middle of nowhere. But we know that we live right at the heart of where life is happening. There's a certain level of ease, a depth of relaxation and clarity when living long term in pure nature, that's hard to comprehend when you haven't experienced it. I certainly didn't get it before I made that step to live here. It took me months, well years, to really feel and understand it. And only then I connected the dots and realized that this was how I also felt, when I spent playful, carefree, happy time in nature as a child. I still fall back when I go to the city or suburbs for a while. I can get used to that latent stress-level again, I have to, it becomes normal, 'no problem, what stress? I'm fine'. But then I move back to pure nature and my system calms down, level after level, levels I didn't even know existed. When in the midst of urban life, I had no clue how tense my muscles still were, despite all the spiritual practice, how my thoughts were still in the foreground comparing and conceptualizing. Nothing against cities really, it's just that the current mindset and energies there, aren't conducive to rekindling your inner power. There may be a time, when urban life is also in tune with the laws of nature (again).
