Since my youth (I'm now nearly midway through my sixth decade) I've been a Christian and a political activist. I entered the Roman Catholic Church Easter 2020. I'm working to sync the lived experience of Christianity with political activism in Maine, America and this fast changing internet driven world. Thanks for helping.

"And it doesn’t have to be this way. There is nothing inscribed upon the fabric of the universe which says that we need to live under a system which causes us to feed our biosphere into the woodchipper so that billionaires can become trillionaires. Nowhere is it written in adamantine that that the many must always toil and suffer for the benefit of the few. Things are the way they are because of systems that were put in place by human beings, and human beings can replace those systems with different ones."

This has been a pet peeve of mine for years. I was subjected to this horror this morning at the local coffee shop as they were playing all this "Christmas music." Let's truly honor Christ this year. My son did so this weekend by taking his family, including four young children, to hear "The Messiah." We need a lot more of that in Christian cultures, and a lot less of the watered down drivel that passes as Christmas music.
