For power iOS users on Nostr: Yakihonne and Nostur are the way to go.
I've tried both, and they offer a ton of features and customization options.
Yakihonne lets you post articles, create polls, and share videos.
Nostur feels like a Twitter clone, but it’s more expressive—it has multiple notification types, relay visibility (you can see which relays your post went to), a loading indicator, and even a neat feature that lets you edit your post for a few seconds after hitting "post."
That said, Yakihonne has some UI drawbacks, at least for me. The layout is a bit of an eyesore—the font doesn’t feel consistent, the color scheme makes things blend together, and overall it just feels cluttered.
When it comes to the Explore page, every client does it differently, but none quite match the experience Primal offers. Others come close, but issues like slow loading or lack of content make them harder to rely on. With a social platform this new, discoverability is crucial for user retention, in my opinion.
One thing both Yakihonne and Nostur get right is relay management. You can configure each relay to read, write, or do both—totally customizable.
At the end of the day, these are just my two cents on using Nostr clients. I know things will improve, but I’m glad to be riding the wave early—before it hits the shore.
*forgot the mention: Nostur lets you clear cache, a huge issue for iOS apps.

iOS needs a signer.
I’m here RAW dogging clients with my nsec. 🤣🤣🤣

Anyone knows why different clients don’t all show the same “stats”?
I posted “GOOD DAY NOSTR” and received 2 likes.
Damus shows 2 likes
Primal shows 0 like
Nostur shows 1 like
What could cause the discrepancy?

GOOD DAY NOSTR!!

There are a bunch of Nostr clients on iOS, and figuring out which one to use can be a bit much. I’ve been trying out Damus, Primal, and Nostur—each has its own vibe, with some hits and some misses.
Here's what I’ve noticed.
- Damus has a sleek UI and well-structured settings, but its Explore feature is weak.
- Primal is clean, with solid search and a useful trending Explore page, but you're tied to their wallet (unless on web), and the feed uses proprietary caching.
- Nostur offers deep relay control and customization but has a steeper learning curve due to its dense interface.
My current iOS rankings:
1. Damus
2. Primal
3. Nostur
Nostr is still early, but I'm optimistic. Just wanted to share my first impressions.

Finally I made my own personal account to build and grow on Nostr. I can’t wait to see what the future holds and when Nostr hits critical mass that everyone starts to use it.
I can’t wait to start posting content highlighting Nostr with my podcast & YouTube channel.
