☕ Yesterday's Coffee Hangout Recap
We explored the concept of saving for the future, the options available to us, and why fiat currency is often a poor long-term savings tool.
Using a video of a man who had saved money in a bucket for 20 years, we examined what happened to the purchasing power of those savings over time. While the amount of money remained the same, its ability to buy goods and services had significantly declined.
We then compared this to a scenario where money does not continuously lose purchasing power. The discussion helped us think about what makes a good savings tool and how our choice of money affects our future.
The goal was not to tell anyone what to do, but to encourage critical thinking and informed decision-making.
At the end of the day, how and where we save is an individual decision. Our role is simply to explore the options, understand the trade-offs, and make choices that align with our goals.
What matters most is understanding the system you are saving in and the impact it may have on your future purchasing power.
We also revisited our #1000SatsDaily savings challenge with the
@Machankura 📞⚡ 8333.mobi Clan. One thousand sats at a time may not seem like much today, but the exercise is teaching us something far more valuable: consistency, patience, and long-term thinking.
The future belongs to those who prepare for it. And judging by the energy in the room yesterday, the future is bright.
"The best time to think about the future was 20 years ago. The second-best time is over coffee today." ☕⚡
