I like bitcoin, yes I do. I like bitcoin, how bout you!?!
Progress! Decided to print some pieces in resin, parts that wouldn’t necessarily need thermal protection. Now, I’m waiting on one more print to finish and the S9 to come in. image
S9 Mining heater update! The main body is finished, there is a little bit of post processing now to heat treat it. I’ll be printing the fan brackets and feet next. Stay tuned!
I threw a Noctua NF-A4x20 fan on my Bitaxe Supra. I am pleasantly surprised by how silently this fan runs at 5000rpm.
High temp filament came in so I started printing the heater case for the Antminer S9. Looking good so far, Noctua fans will be in tomorrow. Still waiting for the S9 and S17 to ship.
As time goes on, I will always feel like Oskar Schindler at the end of Schindler‘s list, no matter how much bitcoin I buy. image
I pulled the trigger on two Bitmain Antminers, an S9 and S17. I’m planning to use them as heaters this winter and offset the energy that would be used by my central heating. I’m going to have to build an enclosure for my 3D printer to use a temperature resistant filament needed for the walls. I’ll post with updates as winter closes in, here in the south.
In a sea of Bitcoin podcasts, what’s missing? What kind of content, presentation, or format would you like to hear that isn’t out there yet? As a newcomer to Bitcoin (less than 2 years), I was searching for content that explained the more nuanced aspects. I eventually found what I needed, but it took sifting through a lot of redundant information. A podcast featuring a newcomer alongside experienced Bitcoiners discussing current events could lead to clearer, more accessible explanations. What do you think?
