Voyager 2’s journey into interstellar space raises more questions than answers! When NASA launched Voyager 2 in 1977, the spacecraft was designed to explore the outer planets of our Solar System. More than four decades later, it continues its journey, now travelling through interstellar space. In November 2018, Voyager 2 became only the second human-made object to cross the boundary of the heliosphere, the vast bubble of particles and magnetic fields created by the Sun. What it has found since then has raised more questions than it has answered.

Archaeologists Found 317 Skeletons Buried Under a Department Store Hundreds of skeletons were recently unearthed at the site of an abandoned Debenhams department store in the UK. The remains of 317 individuals from medieval and post-medieval burial grounds were discovered by archaeologists from Cotswold Archaeology in Kings Square, Gloucester, as the site was being redeveloped into the University of Gloucester’s City Campus. The university actually commissioned Cotswold Archaeology to excavate at the site because artifacts have continued to crop up in the area.

Voyager’s next record: NASA spacecraft will soon reach full light-day from Earth NASA’s Voyager spacecraft is on the verge of making history by becoming the first human-made object to travel a full light-day away from Earth—a distance so vast that light itself takes 24 hours to cover it. This awe-inspiring milestone, set for November 2026, reminds us just how colossal the universe truly is and how tiny our fastest spacecraft seem in comparison.

Google and Apple’s $20 billion search deal survives Google will be able to keep making search deals like its $20 billion agreement to be the default option in Apple’s Safari browser, a federal district court judge ruled in the US v. Google antitrust case on Tuesday. Executives from both Apple and Firefox-made Mozilla have defended their search deals with Google, with Mozilla’s CFO testifying that Firefox might be doomed without the deal in place.

Scientists fear microscopic 'mirror life' could wipe out humanity Kate Adamala had been working on something dangerous. At her synthetic biology lab, Adamala had been taking preliminary steps toward creating a living cell from scratch with one key twist: all the organism's building blocks would be flipped. Changing these molecules would create an unnatural mirror image of a cell, as different as your right hand from your left.

Why scientists want a ‘Voyager 3’ mission? ***Voyager 3 could serve as a pathfinder, mapping the hazards and opportunities of interstellar space for the next generation of explorers.*** The twin Voyager spacecraft, launched in 1977, gave us humanity’s first close-up views of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Beyond that, they entered interstellar space, sending back data about cosmic radiation and magnetic fields that no other spacecraft has ever recorded. Scientists see these discoveries as unfinished business. A new Voyager, often imagined as “Voyager 3,” would build on that foundation and continue exploring the cosmic frontier.
