I heard a quote somewhere that “Good art is paid for in blood” and I never fully understood that until now. It means the easiest art to make, is usually the shittiest. Going through a breakup I started carving into the Kitchen table, and it just kept going, then after I had a bunch of tables I didnt know what to do with them, I learned that I could put ink on top of the wood and turn it into a large print on paper. With no intention of becoming an artist, thats how it happened.
