Will Ruddick has done some great on-the-ground work developing community currencies. I've watched this documentary several time and get excited about the possibility. A lot of work and experimentation has been done outside Bitcoin with local and community currencies. With the idea of a "circular economy" trending with Bitcoiners, this is work checking out.
