Good morning and happy Thursday to you NOSTR fam! Thought of the moment...... There were certain "flavors" of Humanee initially attracted to #Bitcoin. Think #Satoshi and what they represented and how they conducted themselves and their method of interacting with the world. Those folks multiplied and grew the community to eventually find and include us. The folks before us learned lessons and created tools that we use today (think #lightning and #nostr ) which helps us to continue the mission (mine is one of global adoption yours might differ and that's OK). These missions which will eventually (for present or future generations) help all to step off of the hamster wheel and to pursue lives of meaning and fulfilment. Is it cheating to read their works, learn from their lessons and forgoe the dramas that came with those lessons?! Of course not. In fact this is why they wrote and published their works. I view it as a tool we can use to fast forward through the commercial breaks. Cutting through the noise and focusing on the signal as some would say. All this to say, I think it's a smart use of time to allocate some part of my day to studying those works. The works of those that came before me. Some might call them the OGs. I just call them the ones that got the party before me. Good morning and happy #Saturday beautiful #NOSTR peeps. Word on the street is that it's going to be yet another beautiful day in #KeystoneState. This makes for a whole week of fun in the sun. I expect the #parks and #trails will be packed with weekend revelers. So the pooch and I will relegate ourselves to the bushes, maybe cross paths with some #bears and come across a #foxden or two. As children my parents would send my sisters and to #Haiti to be with our grandparents for the summer so they can "work" in peace. Make of that what you will (I usually had a new sibling 9 months later). Haha. Every morning my grandmother made me Cafe au lait. Most of you think you know what this is.....literally "coffee and cream". But you'd be mistaken. My grandmother had a secret recipe which made her version particularly delicious. It was like fine wine for children. You sipped it slowly and relished every tang, flavor and sweetness of it all. My grandmother passed in 1994. Below is a picture of the closest thing to grandma's Cafe au lait. I don't know how #Starbucks got a hold of that secret recipe (it is pretty dang close). And I've never read the ingredients. I don't wanna know what substitutes they may be using. But every few months, I have one and think of morning chats with grandma on the balcony while we watched folks head for work or the market. Back in those days $1 USD was like 20 Goulds (Haitian currency). Today it's something like a few thousand Gould to the dollar. Or something ridiculous like that. You quit tracking after a certain point. At any rate, this morning I will have grandma's Cafe au lait after my run hopefully perfectly timed to catch the sunrise.
