I liken going through my #amethyst bookmarks at the end of a work day to watching my pops doing his daily (newspaper) crossword puzzles after work. He was in the back porch (sometimes the basement) learning weird words, as my mom described it. Me...just learning. Their may be some weird words. But usually not. Different but parallel. #RandomBrainThings ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡ https://imgur.com/a/MghbRvC

And today, I shut the work computer off at 2pm. Because my new operating system allows for it. Going to put on some some shabby gear and cut grass. In a few more weeks they'll be no distinction in my life between a Monday or a Saturday. Redefining work/play times in ways that inspire growth, foster excitement and allow for some occasional moments of boredom. I used to think a healthy/balanced week should be 1/3 work, 1/3 play, 1/3 sleep/rest. As I've gotten older, not sure work and play need to be itemized separately. A framework of old and outdated standards perhaps. #RandomBrainThings

Listening to this one for a second time. IMO... It touches on many aspects of existentialism. I preceded my message with the IMO disclosure, because I think it's one of these written works where a dozen people can read it and all come up with their own distinct explanation of what it meant to them or what they gleaned from it. Ok, with that said, I'm in the section speaking to egoes. It very much compliments the "stay humble" mantra that exists in the BTC community. I don't think that's a coincidence. As diverse as this community is on so many fronts, we have so much more in common then we have differences. Also, the "stay humble" bit. That's been real work for me. Its not been the world I've built for myself IRL over the years. But I'm getting there. Mostly, you folks are helping me in that regard. Some are helping by being the example, while others are a bit more...well let's call assertive...proverbially speaking. But in my time on NOSTR, never have I felt anyone was coming at me from a place of malice. That makes it easier for me to reconcile my perspective and emotion on the matter. #RandomBrainThings ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡ image

Good morning my fellow NOSTRi ! Embracing the start of a fresh week, fresh air and a fresh mindset! Revising my daily systems to accommodate, empower and manifest the life I'm creating for myself going into the next 3rd. An exciting exercise with a slight sprinkle of insecurity, if I'm honest. But this mix of excitement / insecurity has always preceded huge episodic spurts of personal growth and abundance. So I say to myself, let's git err dun man! Make it a kick @ss day my friends. A clip from one morning last week I think. But the vibe this morning is quite the same. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡ https://imgur.com/a/OvmewBS

Statistically, the likelihood of crossing paths with someone who is in the same headspace as you, doing a thing that you also enjoy in the same manner as you do, at the same time as you do, with your favorite soul on earth (a pooch, a parent, a child, a partner), is very high for those who are true to themselves and not so much if you're not. This is because when you are true to yourself, you are more likely to be in places and situations where you are surrounded by people who share your interests and values. You are also more likely to be open to meeting new people and making new friends. On the other hand, if you are not true to yourself, you are more likely to be in places and situations where you feel out of place or uncomfortable. You are also more likely to be closed off to meeting new people and making new friends. So if you are looking to increase your chances of meeting someone who is in the same headspace as you, the best thing you can do is to be true to yourself. Be yourself, do the things you love, and go to the places where you feel most comfortable. The right people will eventually find you. #RandomBrainThings

My parents had my sisters and I later in life. They are products of the #SilentGeneration. I was listening to a podcast yesterday and some of the speakers and hosts made the reference #BoomerCompany I found it amusing. It reminded me of #BoomerPoop a term used in a book I recently listened to called #Mandibles . Every generation moves humanity forward in some capacity. It's usually a 2 step forward 1 step backward sort of thing. Let's not forget this and demonize our elders wrongly. Thanks, A GenX'er pooped out by some silent folks. #RandomBrain things.

Good morning NOSTR fam! It's a beautiful morning in the #KeystoneState. The parks are crowded and the trails are busy, so we're keeping to the bushes for our morning #5k. HikingMan and the pooch still managed to meet some folks and make some friends. Today, I'm taking inventory of the week and zooming in/out in search of any blind spots or opportunities. I hope you have a kick-@ss day! image
