I vibecoded a party game for mu niece's birthday party, took me 10 minutes. That app had more users in that afternoon that most software that gets grants around here.

I am one of the few people in the world that built both for Nostr and Pubky. Disclaimer: I was paid to build in Pubky but always worked in Nostr for free. I think Nostr is cool but it attracted a lot of builders mostly because they felt it was easy to get grants for half baked software. Still, the reality is that are a lot of people excited about building on Nostr, and there are some cool applications to the protocol already. I think John is a great guy, and very smart. In my personal experience, Synonym's main problem is that John is not good at choosing which people to hire, my interactions made me think most seem more interested in rent seeking and gate keeping that actually building the future. I don't know what will happen, but probably things will get better for all when price action starts being more positive. Keep building, keep having fun... And if you find yourself in a position where FOSS doesn't pay the bills... welcome to the club 😘
