I started journaling around 4.5 years ago. Looking back into my first few months, entries were just a few lines and something like "got my new backpack today, went to Whole Foods, BBQ with John", and nowadays it's multiple paragraphs DAILY, with 5 daily goals, evaluation on what was good, bad, and goals for the next day, as well as dream journaling and contemplating on philosophical topics that are in my mind. Almost 2 pages every day. It's better to start small than not at all!

I will try and make kefir myself today. Starting with some from the supermarket to see if I can use it as it is. Maybe even getting some buds to make it the right way

Good. Controversial take: I'd delete all data protection laws as well. The government should not tell people how to handle data, but companies should make it clear in their policies. Startups or side projects would be much easier to realize in Europe if you don't have to go through thousands of clearances to store something the user gives you voluntarily. View quoted note →

One of the loveliest thing that happened today was me shutting down my laptop, looking outside the window, and seeing the first buds on the trees slowly opening while being bathed in sunshine.

Today is quite a sunny day. I will go to the coty to get a new hoodie and then stroll around a bit in the book store. Sadly my bike is still at the inspection, otherwise I would ride to the meadow and read there in the sun.

There is so much fucking potential this summer, I can't wait for the European summer evenings reading ancient greeks, lying in the grass.

Switched from iPhone 16 to iPhone 16e now. Many will say it's a dumb move, but I prefer the more solid, edged design; no useless camera button; notch over dYnAmIc IsLaNd; don't need an ultra wide camera; and the battery life is MUCH better. image

I'll try doing a late night work week next week. Am used to waking up early but would like to try working in the evening, late at night, when everything is asleep.

After R1, we will see so much development in the next 12 months. Will OpenAI provide powerful open source models? Doubtful but necessary. Will Grok 3 shake up the current leaderboard? Hopefully. Will China make American companies struggle even more? Of course.

R1 introducing the Sputnik moment of the AGI race is fabulous. Competition is great, and even if DS is highly untrustworthy, it pushes the spirit of beating them and becoming even better. That alone is a great contribution for the current state of AI
