#MegaVan update: 21 Quick reminder there will only ever be #21million #btc! There's a difference between scarce and finite. Yesterday we got up very early and travelled to our commercial outfitters in Cornwall, ready from the taillift (Wife's Gin Terrace!) to be fitted. There's lots of controversy about adding more weight and complexity to the #MegaVan but we envisage have it on it own land at some point and having a raised outside platform will definitely be an add bonus to watch sunsets etc. So we're back in Cornwall once again and over the next few days I'm planning on doing some difficult jobs on the #MegaVan like fitting the clean & waste tanks. On a different note. I hadn't driven the #MegaVan for over a month and my god, I felt it in the calves and they were cramping badly. Note: Use the whole leg on the peddles not just the ball of the foot! 👍

The #MegaVan is coming on well. Not only do we have 1 working secret trolly drawer but the Woowoo loo was delivered today. It will be a few days until I get the holes and pipes connected. (Black waste tank still to be underslung) Kitchen on order and vanity unit & bowl arriving Thursday. Today I lifted the galley floor connecting hot, cold & waste pipes into final positions. All very exciting. Renogy still haven't refunded my money on their completely failed order but I have found a good supplier of Victron equipment to build my solution going forward. 🤑

#MegaVan Update: 20 We're all sick! One downside of living in close proximity to your family, if 1 of you get colds/flu, you all do... Eventually. 🤧😩 Obviously as a male I'm feeling it so much more than the Misses and daughter I can tell you! #ManFlu is a serious condition. But, I'm putting on a brave face and made everyone Tea & passed the biscuits about a bit earlier. Keeping the #MegaVan warm is a priority so the windows have been batterned down and lecy heater on full to drive out the sickness from us all. Here's Hoping we all feeling better Tomorrow. #MegaVan Update: 19 It's been a trying few days but I've built a Bathroom platform and focused on the 230v EHU upgrade. The extention to the raised platform will add extra storage drawers for the separate bedroom. Electrics have been a steep learning curve for me but I got it sorted and was advised by a qualified electrician too. (good job really) So ow I've got separate circuits to different parts of the #MegaVan. Next I can look at getting the kitchen, bathroom, water inlets & waste installed.

#MegaVan Update: 18 "I BUILT A THING!" 😂 So at the cab end of the #MegaVan I've bought loads of wood and built an Adult bunk bed which is surprisingly secure and stable! The lats are in fact the recycled side braces I originally took off the sides when it was a removals lorry. I tested it by swinging from it and also climbed up and layed down. So if it can take the weight of a 16 stone man, my daughter won't bring it down. IKEA furniture doubles up as steps and slotted in with precision, like it was measured for it! 😂🤣😂

#MegaVan Update: 17 "I'm sure this rain was Noah inspired!" So this morning I started getting ready to build the main platform area supporting the galley kitchen, bathroom and main walkway through the #megavan It took a little longer than expected as the Cornish Pixies where up to their tricks again. Not only did they keep moving and hiding stuff but they totally managed to shrink my tape measure at times, even altering my calculations on my phone to give false readings! So only 3 struts were made and set. Gotta love those the little imps 😡😡😡 We had to nip out for some more wood & food and it rained, and rained and rained! We rushed back, expecting the #MegaVan to be leaking like a broken kettle, only to find it dry(ish) but the new gazebo, on the other hand, had collapsed under the weight of the water and buckled, soaking alot of our possessions 😭 A very busy day in all, and now relaxing have a beer. Oh, and we now have a very confident fox apparently. GN.

#MegaVan Update: 16 #renogy can gfy! What a bunch of incompetent cretins! Not only did they cancel my solar/leisure battery order of over £2000, they then send a part order, cancelling it in transit and so I received 1 item, now totally unwanted, so they lock up the entire funds, holding them ransom until all the mis-sent items are returned!?! I swear I'm conversing with an AI bot cause its too damn polite even after I've dumped a full load of bitter verbage upon them! If this is the future of customer services, they can stick it up their jaxi! Rant over... Time for a beer. Actual update : Back doors now insulated. Should keep the coming winter chills out.

#MegaVan Update: 15 We have a leak! Fixed as to where from..!?! Hadn't rained in the last few hours so must have pooled somewhere and when the #MegaVan got to rocking, small line of water started a trickling down one of the walls. Had to investigate by pulling down all the good works I'd stuck in place but it dried up before I could track it. Investigations continue...
