What would the discord version of nostr be called? Nostrd? Distr? Noscordr?
Lol. "Why is it when I give these centralized services my data and money do they keep growing and getting more powerful" image
I mean if you're worried about centralization, you can just not participate in that process? That is a choice you have.
One last thing about A.I. then I am going to stop talking about it for at least 5 minutes. Just a contrast I noticed: Bitcoin and A.I. are supposedly good for society. Yet, for me personally, one (Bitcoin) is so much a net good that it's inspirational. I WANT to contribute to it. Be a part of it. I feel a intrinsic drive to do this. Interesting enough nostr is also like bitcoin in this way. A.I. is not inspirational at all. Moral of the story? We need more Bitcoin and Nostr.
One of the podcasts I have listened to the guest basically said everyone in the U.S. should take train ride through the U.S. When you do you'll see first hand how much the U.S. is hollowed out and is in an advanced state of decay. I have never done this. When was the last time someone took a train ride to travel?
Also fuck that guy. Now that he realizes he'll be alive to see first hand the negative consequences he helped create, he's like: It's happening too fast, I better warn people.
Even one of the top researchers dipped once he realized how disruptive it is going to be.
The thing about A.I. that bothers me the most is all the people celebrating with gleeass huge swaths of people are going to lose their livelihood.
I am a software engineer. Self taught. Worked a lot of random jobs until I got a chance and broke into the industry 3 years ago. With A.I. coming I feel like quitting. Other reasons too. The next biggest one is I dont't want to work for someone else. But haven't had the stones to take the leap. Maybe back to my blue collar roots and wash windows or something.
Back when I was a hardcore gamer I remember playing with a guy who's handle was Hugh Benis.
Why does it take so long to learn to denominate in BTC? refactoring your time preference?
The downside of typecasting the same dude as a bad guy is after a while. You immediately figure out the plot. 5 mins in typecasted guy appearss: "that's the guy, who did it. NEXT!" Conversely it is also a time saver.
Watching The Fugitive. Scene: Woman pulls up to Ford and asks: "Need a ride" Ford looks around and gets in. Reshoot that in current era and I'd be like DONT DO IT FORD! ITS A TRAP! SHE GOING TO MURDER YOU! YOU STUPID BITCH, FORD! WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT WAS OKAY?!?
Pre CGI movies, man. Fantastic. No CGI body doubles. Literally cut to rag doll after jump off of cliff, lol. I take ragdoll over CGI body double any day of the week.
