#Nostr what is your view on the fact that the #Bitcoin network stopped producing blocks for ~1h?

Just installed Amethyst on my phone again, and gotta admit that for some reason it seems to be way smoother than the last time, that's great.

Reminder: If you are excited by the #ETFs and #Blackrock pumping your bags... Don't fool yourself, you don't understand #Bitcoin, if you did you would know there is nothing to be excited about regarding this, given that: 1. If they get approved they will hoard Bitcoin, probably keep buying on the future and reducing the available supply, to which you might think "Muh Bags r PumPinG we Going to Da Moun Bruh 🚀🌕". But NO! bc Bitcoin is designed to bring freedom, and that freedom is limited to 21 million, and if you sell for an ever depreciating token you may find yourself in the future prisoner of that fiat token, you might have more numbers but in the end what matters is purchasing power (if not ask to Venezuelans or Argentinians),if you feel fucked or something happen in your country, you may need to leave, and when you need that freedom to cross borders it will be hard to get it, there is no supply bro, funds keep buying it all and they ain't selling it. 2. The network doesn't give a crap, it will keep doing it's thing, generating and validating blocks, nothing has changed... This is the only thing that should keep you excited, a simple and elegant machine that moves independently, trustlessly and with resiliency, nothing can stop it, no war, no cohersion, no government, not even YOU or your enemies. Think about it, it's like getting excited for someone scamming you, exchanging your gold for mirrors. IYKWIM.

Lnp2p people are crazy now selling their #Bitcoin at a ~7% premium 😂 WTF, wonder how much is the fear and greed index already...

Seemingly a lot of Bitcoiners who were previously whining about #Blackrock, #Vanguard, and other corpos owning everything, houses, pharma, etc. Are now rooting for them to get the ETF approved so they can get their bags pumped and give away all their #Bitcoin so they can own it all. Hypocrites!!!

I still find fascinating that I can have my own #lightning node in home, then pair it with @ZEUS and thanks to Tor network I can access it from anywhere to make payments.

It doesn't happen to you that every time you go on Twitter, you end up leaving with the feeling of wanting to punch at least one person straight in the face?

I hope people on Nostr were as energetic to speak about implementing #Bitcoin #Privacy solutions with the same level of conviction which they have when they talk about the security and privacy of their Nostr DMs.

I feel #Bitcoin has given me so much that the least that I can do for the protocol is to run a node that ensures it's security and resiliency in the long run. It's not for me, as I don't use it 99.9% of the time, it just do it's thing and the cost to keep it running yearly is negligible.

Ok, so first update on my lightning journey. Last night i started my first lightning channel. Today I have 4 open already, 2 outbound, 2 inbound. Two of these were from @npub17tlh...zsxj and the other one was from @LN⚡Server who were generous and provided me with a 1M sats inbound channel basically for free. Now, basically my first purchase was the Dare to Dream documentary which I saved to buy it when i was able to begin using lightning in a more sovereign way. Just finished watching it, and I really liked it, completely recommend it, now I hope to buy Death Athletic next when it comes out. #Lightning #LND #Bitcoin #Hispano
