Disclosure Day review: 3 stars. A little too long, too many "summer blockbuster" action setpieces for something that probably should have had a darker, more cerebral tone. But great performances, good direction and some almost 4th-wall breaking monologues about the importance of transparency about the #ufo / #uap issue. More in comments. #movies

GM -- there are certain historical moments where it seems particularly bad to be a young person trying to make their way in the world... Like now. Obviously if you've found your way to Nostr you've found "the good stuff", but for a normie who's just wading in the slop pool of XMeta, what do you actually get inspired about possibilities for the future? From the POTUS to the stock market and all the way down, it just seems like a "grift or be grifted" moment. In the 90's the whole Internet was new, the early 2010's was the dawn of mobile, social, crypto... Even post-COVID I feel like there was a spark of new ideas and innovation, ~23-24 now all the oxygen is sucked up by AI.

IDK this could be good but "History of the World Part II" was kind of a dud for me, so I'm skeptical of the concept...

The World Cup is being hosted at Stadia around America, some of which have been built in the middle of a sea of parking and/or 20+ miles away from the cities they ostensibly represent... Good luck to the visiting Europeans and Asians expecting you'll be able to take a train to these places! 😆 #urbanism

GM -- the looming AI bubble, which is sucking money out of Bitcoin and seemingly everything else in the global economy, is quite frankly shaking this libertarian's faith in capitalism just a bit... And yes, I get it, easy money policies are at least partially to blame in driving this behavior... But it just seems like, free-market capitalism works great at the level of street-level Taco stands, but as soon as anything gets big enough it gets financialized, scammified and Enshittified.

I'm curious, people who think the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve is a good idea: Do you genuinely think that it's a good thing that the US Federal Government survives, more or less intact in its present form, in perpetuity? If not why are you promoting its survival by encouraging it to buy and custody Bitcoin?
