I've got a question... Or rather I want to hear your take so I've come to #asknostr. How do you think about (or around) the idea of #privacy on #nostr? Especially when it come to #kids. I run businesses, and have always essentially been the figurehead of those businesses. As a result I personally have a fairly public life on traditional (#centralized) platforms. However, as a #parent, I am super vigilant about my kids. I have never used their names or pictures on those sights. I'm having mixed feelings about Nostr and #privacy. Here my #notes, from my limited #noob understanding can not be deleted (except if a #relay decided to for some reason. Is that correct?) Which means that it is essentially irreversible. I guess this is more of a #philosophy question. Regardless I will still keep my kids out of it until they can make that decision for themselves. I guess the deep question here is: Should I keep my own face/identity hidden here? Of should I go Full #NoFucksGiven #allin and stare them in the face? I want to hear ALL of your #thoughts.

Question for all of you sat stacking saavy savants out there: I have a small business in the Caribbean (MX) and want to accept crypto payments without having to spend 15 hrs training my staff or signing on with some giant company. I've done some research but not found what I'm looking for. Maybe I'm searching for a unicorn here but... I'm looking for a point-of-sale system that: -works on lightning or another fast layer 2 -accepts bitcoin (bonus for other top crytos) -is easy to set up (I'm not a super techy guy) - easy to read/use as square, or any other POS system -I can put a local currency amount owed into it (say 1000 mx pesos) and it converts to sats that need to be paid -Creates a QR code for payment -gives me a solid confirmation that the payment has happened - allows me to self custody -no (or extremely minimal) KYC -has a wallet interface for my staff ( i.e. without accesst to seed keys or send keys) - minimal fees -preferably works on a phone/tablet and not some other rando device -has customer service of some sort that can help if everything goes sideways -the less cool gidgets and gadgets the better (just want to accept payments) Has anyone seen such a beast?
