Garden with milkweed for Monarch Butterflies. Buyer and seller of premium milkweed seeds. Bitcoin accepted with BTCPay at checkout. Watch for weekly #zapsnag opportunities!
I offered to buy the Zizotes seeds with bitcoin. Apparently the bank will be lurking on the seed exchange. Seems unnecessary in 2025.
Honeyvine fall planting. 1. Honeyvine in aerogarden 2. Honeyvine roots 3. Example of one of the larger roots. Honeyvine is a host plant of the Danaus butterflies. It is often overlooked as a host plant because it is not an Asclepias. Honeyvine = Cynanchum laeve Many of the apocynaceae family are valuable host plants of the migratory monarch butterfly. Honeyvine is a great example.

Watching a Gold-fronted woodpecker (Melanerpes aurifrons) feed grasshoppers to baby woodpeckers in a cactus kingdom near Mazatlán was a highlight of 2018. #nature image
Ranunculus corms come to life after a soak in water for a couple hours. Dry (left) Hydrated (right) Nice hydrated, they are ready to plant under 2” of soil. image
I’ve been told that people don’t like seeing sunflowers when it’s freezing out. I see them as bird feeders.
Found the hory hory my parents gave me a year or two ago. It was in my metal detecting bag. Cleaning the leather today. image
Flattering but insulting. We can see that Seed World has simply taken my photo and used it in their advertisement. I did take a nice photo in 2019 along the Truckee River in Nevada. It’s one of my most stolen photos. Perhaps I left the copyright open on inaturalist?
Organic for 11 years. Now I’ll try some ad spend. www.growmilkweedplants.com image
Refreshing to drop off free milkweed seeds at a local clients address. A fun way to bring the monarchs home is to grow milkweed plants in your green space. My map is an L1 guide to native milkweed in America. www.growmilkweedplants.com/map
