Simplified the seed packet options for swamp milkweed. small/medium/large 4/6/10 USD (or bitcoin) plus shipping. The best part of this seed it it needs no stratification. Just two weeks of hot and wet conditions and it usually flowers in the first year. Loves three to five years on average. https://www.growmilkweedplants.com/product-page/asclepias-incarnata-swamp-milkweed-seed

Asclepias asperula subspecies capricornu is found mostly in Texas and Oklahoma. The plants will emerge early in February and March. If rain is scarce they will go dormant in summer and often grow back in the fall. Take a close look at the bloom color to tell it apart from the next note.

Asclepias subverticillata
Still waiting:
Asclepias variegata

Although I would have loved to see Asclepias asperula. I still like to walk slowly and enjoy the other flora and fauna in the ecosystem.
On today’s hike I am in the foothills of the Wasatch Front above the Great Salt Lake.

Primal ditched the firehose?
