Ladies with one post and 5 minutes in Nostr with a higher follower count that I will probably ever achieve 😂

@Ava I just created a Proton Mail account after reading your advice in regard to email addresses. Is it recommended to set-up automatic forwarding from Gmail?
I have come across plenty of accounts of “seemingly” successful / rich individuals, whose posts’ objectives seem to be reduced to only one: to make fun or bring down other people; usually NPC, normies, the poor, the unsuccessful, or all of them. The former seem to have a pathological obsession with the later. Something seems off with these individuals.
I while ago, I read on a newsletter that I am subscribed to, that no real learning takes place from consuming short-length content. I will save you from reading the reasons given by the author; I will only say that I very much agree. That is a big reason for my social media usage decline: I have always used them as a complementary learning tool. At the same time, whilst I have not actually properly learnt anything, social media has pointed me me in the direction / revealed to me a lot of topics that I may or may not have discovered with the help of those platforms. There is also the fact that a lot of people who I follow post exclusively in those mainstream platforms. Those two are the main reasons why I am reluctant to give up X.

I love the democratic aspect of Nostr; tons of avenues to gather feedback from users and improve the place.
BUT ☝🏼
I also think that of a hundred people, 75 have no clue what they want and they say they feel this way. 10 people are equally clueless, but feel that they have to say something. The remaining 15 do know what they want and express it. I believe the market is in those 75 plus 10.
Although at the moment it very much feels like the audience is vastly made up of developers and technology / Bitcoin enthusiasts, that would represent those who know what they want and claim it. The rest, like me, who have landed on Nostr by accident, seem like the minority.
Speaking for myself, doing an honest introspection, I don’t know what I want from Nostr and the clients. I may know in the future.
In conclusion, happy to see it evolve and where everything leads, under the command of the much cherished and knowledgeable developers.
Food for thought.

Home made toothpaste recipe:
~ three tablespoons of baking soda.
~ three tablespoons spoons of extra virgin coconut oil.
Some claim that the sweet spot is 3:2 in favour of the oil. That’s up to you.
Then, add a few drops of essential oil of your preferred flavour if you need to.

Damus scroll experience is a delight now!
I’ve seen @Ava being recommended by another account I follow in one of those gratitude posts. Best follow of 2024 so far. Packed of actionable advice.
And this happens when I try to download @npub1ex7m...vyt9 from the app store…

Yo, every single muslim I have interactions with is such an excellent individual when it comes to manners and etiquette. Just reporting.

Do we know if Ian Carroll (@cancelcloco in X) is on Nostr? The guy is bullish on protecting and supporting small businesses against mega corporations.
It just occurred to me how it ties with lower time-preference, lower consumerism, and bigger reward for quality/usefulness.
As we all know, small businesses usually mean more expensive products due to them not enjoying the benefit of higher margins through the different tactics and resources that mega corporations employ to achieve these.
But maybe this means that, because you will spend more, you will try to make better choices, you also have less spare to over consume and you stop where it’s adequate. By buying better you may be more mindful about the future prioritising something for how healthy it is / how useful it is / how long it lasts / etc. and in this way be investing somehow into the future. Being less discount-y of the present.
Hopefully that makes sense. I’ve been giving it a try so far this week and avoiding mega corporations in favor of smaller businesses where possible.
This may be a push to cut X off for good 🤣 View quoted note →
A work colleague gave me this mug as a gift during Christmas. Favourite mug of all times.

On the brink of removing my account in X, but the fear of missing out is big on that one.
Never had this issues with Facebook or Instagram.
Damn, Daniel…
My fiat bank sends me this. We will see, we will see 😂

I have just noticed the significance amount of storage space that Damus takes.
Does anyone know what kind of documents and data the client stores in the phone?
The app’s size is only 13.5 MB, yet documents and data is 2.3 GB. I have only been using the app for a few weeks.
