The sanctuary that houses Vanilla (The chimp that went viral last week seeing the open sky for the first time in her life) just had to put down one of their residents. Seve was born in '93 where extensive medical testing was done on him. After six years of constant stress he developed PTSD and began to self mutilate. After 4 more years of hell he finally was able to live in a sanctuary, and had 2 decades of freedom away from the torture he grew up with. Sadly due to complications from heart disease, he had to be put down. Now he's swinging in the trees up in the great African jungle in the sky. #BanPrimateTesting
