I believe that infinite divisibility is what neutralizes the “we need an elastic money supply” argument. Until now we had not encountered an infinitely divisible hard money to accommodate constantly increasing productivity growth. A growing money supply is not the only option anymore, you can accommodate that productivity growth but allowing for smaller and smaller units. Economists do not understand this.
