In my early twenties, I had a realization along these lines — the opportunity to introduce a new soul to each new moment in their universe, to make the world safe so they can enjoy its beauty, and to accompany them in their discovery and wonder and joy - it struck me profoundly, and I’ve never forgotten it. In a way, I’ve been ready to have kids ever since the moment.
