This week on Freedom Tech Friday we've got a guest β€” Miguel Medeiros, a Brazilian Bitcoin developer and creator of the Phoenixd dashboard. If you're not familiar with Phoenixd, it's ACINQ's server-side Lightning node. Same software as Phoenix wallet, but designed to run on your own hardware with an HTTP API. Self-custodial, zero config, automated liquidity. Miguel built a full web dashboard on top of it: contacts, recurring payments, BOLT12 support, analytics, remote access via Tor or Tailscale. There's even a native desktop app now. We'll be LIVE at 9AM EST / 2PM UK on the UGMF feed. Drop your questions or comments for Miguel below. @MaxUM @Seth For Privacy @Ungovernable Misfits #FREEDOMTECHFRIDAY image

Max Tannahill explains how he used BIP 47 PayNyms for payroll and merchant payments when running Mimushi. No fresh address requests, no address reuse, and no VPS operator seeing your payment addresses. BTC Pay Server puts addresses on a server you might not control. BIP 47 keeps the resolution between sender and receiver only. For privacy-conscious buyers, it meant they could pay with a pseudonym and a PayNym, with nothing else visible. Freedom Tech Friday #30 is live on the Ungovernable Misfits feed. This week, @jordan joins @MaxUM and Max Tannahill for a full deep dive into BIP 47, PayNyms, and Auth 47. Jordan has built a brand new BIP 47 & PayNyms Hub - a single destination for documentation, interactive tools, Auth 47 demos, a PayNym explorer, and a guest book you can sign with your wallet. He's also been working on adding PayNym support to @Bluewallet. Max Tannahill covers real-world use cases (payroll, merchant payments, mining payouts), explains why BIP 47 is more like PGP than people think, and gives an honest comparison of BIP 47 vs Silent Payments. They also touch on the state of multisig, why FROST threshold signing is promising, and why scattered documentation is holding back adoption. Listen/Watch here: @Ungovernable Misfits image
