Tonight I was supposed to say "Hey, Lousiana state now accept BTC payments officially", then say "Hey, fun fact, my travelbook about Louisnana was released day for day 6 years ago and can be ordered through fiat, bitcoin and lightning". I usually doesn't talk that much about disabilities (physical or mental ones), but both are fresh to me, I kept for myself, I kept for myself, and.... suddenly, the breakdown. "La panne". End of the (public) line. Speaking about disabilities, weaknesses and lack of social skills or social appareance can be a no go or become a definitive pitfall, and it's really infuriating go through this kind of seemingly wtf, inappropriate and unexpected crisis (not being able to talk about lovely things, really ?). But, it's like that. That's a new thing for me, it's weird, it's strange, it's unexpected, it's sometime random, it's fresh (more than 30 years without this, and now it's my daily basis), but it's like this now. I'm happy to be able to take some height about these issues, talk about them, take a step back and put the situation into perspective through the news : - Louisiana was huge for me - Working in Bitcoin ecosystem was huge for me - Today's the 6th birthday of my book about Louisiana - Louisiana took as a state a huge step in Bitcoin adoption & safekeeping - I'm happy about everything While I'm frustrated because I'm not being able to express myself properly about the whole thing (or at least "as good as I expected"), at least, I'm happy about these facts, and, in the timeline, they make me think about myself, my evolution and changes, for the best or the worse. So, two weeks ago, Michel "Ketominer" from nodl_it told me "You're not at #BH2024 ? Too bad, I would have been able to introduce your to some people for @be-BOP". Socially and physically, I was in deep red, I don't planned to go, and I was supposed to babysit my son. ... One insomnia and few days later, thanks to my ex-wife's understanding, I finally was in Riga, and went to my first Nostr event, for #Nostriga , all alone (people I know from France and Switzerland arrived only on friday). And while it cost me and I'm still exhausted, that was one of the best last-minute decision in my life. The whole event (Nostriga, Baltic Honey Badger, BTCPayDay) was great, with a lost of meetings, discussions and laughs, but Nostriga was definitely something special for me. The Nostr users & tech community is old enough to have self-criticism, discuss on PoC & scalability feedbacks, but is also young enough to have "everything to build" with this new protocol, with a lot of enthusiasm, effervescence and ingeniosity. People were like "Oh, hey, how's doing, how comes you're here, are you building something with Nostr ?", and just with that, we talked, we talked, we talked, I met so many people from all around the world. While I've experienced some Bitcoin event previously, at Nostriga, I was like jumping from my home watertank to the ocean, with exciting discussions, open-minded & friendly people, top-notch technicians, freedom-enthusiasms, fighters for a no-censorship and privacy-respectful world, and more. Without tagging them, while it was really fun to meet familiar face so far from home (Polto, Darko, Michel, Max, Olga, Harry, Leo, Rolland, Lucas, Yves, Copin & more), I felt really lucky to meet people like Joel, Josh, Bayer, to be introduced to people like Abubakar or Odell, and even be able to make a be-BOP demo to Derek Ross (he was so kind, so nice, so accessible, it still feels unreal). Clearly, this week will keep a special place in my memories, and while scheduling B-Only Annecy and Adopting Bitcoin El Salvador, I'm pretty sure that, next time, I'll be on Nostriga again. The Nostrich will win <3 Let's build a new world.

Back at home after Riga. Too tired to explain the whole week, but it was awesome, so much amazing people to meet, talks, discussions and PoC. Proud to be able to light some interest and curiosity in people eyes with @be-BOP here and here. I'll be back for sure.
