It gradually just gets harder and harder to relate to and enjoy time with folks who don’t have kids when you do. Your world view, perspectives, and priorities are just so out of whack. Have a family member who struggles to understand how little free time I have versus them and it’s tough. Very well meaning folks but it sadly just is a natural dividing line.
America has its issues and isn’t perfect. But it has become painfully obvious the entire concept of natural rights giving rise to freedom will live or die here. Free speech and the right to petition the government is dead pretty much everywhere else. Censorship for wrong think is sadly the norm across much of the world.
Looking at my American millennial peers, many of whom are starting to hit middle age, I must conclude that the single highest value action you can take as a parent is to prevent your child from either getting a liberal arts degree or attending a liberal arts college. Not all, but the vast majority I observe are unhappy, lonely, and disappointed in their lives. Truly shocking and sad how four years of indoctrination, debt, and lack of applicable skills when you’re young can ruin your entire life with such consistency.
Glad square/block is pushing. But bitcoin option needs to be surfaced in the UI in every hardware checkout option. It’s still not in the kiosk at all and I and a merchant found it very confusing. Why not just put on the credit card screen?

Quantum resistance was discussed during taproot development. This is eternal September. Using address formats and cryptography available, changing it would only help potentially defend against a long range attack and NOT a short range attack.
Not taking a side either way, just important to set the record straight on the conversation and thought process at the time, right or wrong. If you disagree that’s fine. But to say it wasn’t considered is factually inaccurate and can be verified from posts and emails during Taproot.

I disagree with Paul a lot but have loved and agree with his feelings on education. School benefited me a lot because I had parents who pushed me towards practical education with good income potential and not liberal arts bullshit. Now most school has little or no real world application and YouTube, AI, Duolingo, Synthesis, etc will teach you better, cheaper, and faster. College is mostly a scam to convey social status, not practical knowledge.

1) many people are and will remain poor because they make poor decisions and lack adequate long term thinking and impulse control
2) inflation is rampant and pushing costs higher making many struggle
3) massive and ever growing government benefit fraud is an obvious and indisputable fact
4) there is always hope to improve if you work hard
