Proud to support Sen. Mike Lee's No CBDC Act, to prohibit the Fed from ever minting, issuing, or requiring a Central Bank Digital Currency. Rather than offering separation of money and state as found in Satoshi’s innovation of Bitcoin, CBDCs merge the power of state and money in a programmable way that would be easily abused and prove harmful to individual liberty and financial freedom.

Tomorrow, the Senate Banking Committee will hold a hearing on “debanking”. My organization, the Consumer Choice Center, submitted comments to the committee urging a repeal of the Bank Secrecy Act, which imposes financial surveillance that accelerates debanking, as well as violates our rights by doxxing our financial information without warrants to FinCEN. This can be practically done tomorrow by passing Sen Mike Lee’s “Saving Privacy Act”. Let’s GOOO image

What’s the breakdown on this Bitcoin for Palestine initiative? I read that there was some infighting and possible misappropriation of funds?

On Donald Trump’s last day of his first presidency in 2021, he issued pardons to several convicted political figures and rappers. In my hometown alt-weekly newspaper (Queen City Nerve), I argued at the time that the pardon of my former congressman, Robin Hayes, was the most undeserved, and it should have instead been granted to Ross Ulbricht, Edward Snowden, or Julian Assange. At least now, Ross has closure.

Saw a post somewhere about a guy running Bitcoin Core from his SanDisk Extreme SSD. What a great idea. Synced mine up the last few days. Everywhere I go now, I have a portable node. Takes a few seconds to sync, and just plugs in via USB-C and don't have to trust anyone else's node ever. I've toyed with using my own electrum server served out on the open internet, but I much prefer using a home node.
