A page of my handwritten notes from my “Money, Banking, and Financial Systems” class during my masters degree at CEVRO in Prague. Inflation! Cantillion effect! Debasement! It’s all there.
Very thankful I had a good band of Austrian and Monetarist economics professors who ran excellent seminars and challenged their students.
They also encouraged me to integrate Bitcoin into my final masters thesis (circa 2016) since I was already charging my fellow students a Bitcoin monthly subscription to use my espresso machine.
If you know a young person who wants a masters degree from a libertarian institution to learn economics and philosophy, send them to CEVRO! Founded by the original Czech dissidents, and many international faculty from the U.S., Canada, UK, Germany, and beyond.
Very affordable, and you can still pay your tuition in Bitcoin if you want (very affordable).

Will Bitkey ever be compatible with Nunchuk for a multi-sig setup? So few NFC options right now

Consumer Choice Night Before Christmas, launching soon

Finally orange pill onboarded a friend of mine who is part of the Dave Ramsey “movement” — despite Ramsey crew denial of Bitcoin.
There’s so much potential in these people. Beans and rice, rice and beans.
They’re taught very important advice on financial moderation, sanity, and getting out of debt, but get very boomer advice on securing wealth.
Definitely need more of this.
Who are the Bitcoin “financial moderation” crowd we should be elevating?
I know Gabriel of Watchman Privacy has pumped the “Radical Finance” podcast since they talk about including Bitcoin.
Morgan Richard is very good on this and I’d definitely zap for more content (sorry @bitcoinpierre I don’t know if she’s on nostr)
I finally learned why there aren’t more cashu mint starter apps…and I understand. It’s big responsibility that could easily wreck folks. Alles klar.
That said, I’m really interested in sovereign dot app for my “clan” and I’ll be using it ASAP!
Thank you @calle and @ODELL for hosting the interview (yes I’m catching up)

Big NAS believer here.
I use unraid for my media server and synology for most backups: Dropbox, phone photos, etc.
There are plenty of trade-offs with these, and I’d love to have an “all-in” solution, but it just doesn’t exist yet.
Maybe Start9, but still some work to do to host third-party docker apps and expand the community stores
That fake South Carolina ID I bought on the dark net would easily be $10,000 today.
Opportunity costs everywhere!
Vienna Christmas market 🎄

I really like the UX flow of receiving verification codes via nostr DMs. As long as your nsec isn’t powned
Been to a few Christmas markets already this year, and police presence and concrete anti-vehicle barriers are now commonplace.
It's sad it came to this, but considering the band of absolute nutjobs out there, it's understandable.
For those with IBANs, it’s very cool to see the launch of Bull Bitcoin in the Euro zone.
Yet another great non-custodial and non-invasive way to people to stack sats and withdraw to lightning for more privacy.
bonne job @FRANCIS et l’équipe !

How is there no umbrel or start9 app to host a cashu mint, or am I blind?
LNbits removed this feature, so we’re pretty dependent on you very good coders
In your opinion, what should we call cryptocurrencies that aren’t Bitcoin? (inb4 shitcoin)
In my own writing, I use “crypto-offspring”. It denotes that BTC was the origin of this phenomenon while remaining neutral on any other protocol or token.
I used to use “altcoin” but even that seems to elevate too many of the scam projects, while leaving objectively interesting and valuable projects like Monero in the same category.
Andreas Antonopoulos uses “open blockchains” which I kind of like too, but it’s fairly broad
