this Senate hearing on Bitcoin mining demonstrates precisely why the founding fathers envisioned 3 separate but equal branches of government. There may be loons in the Senate, but they’re only 50% of one of three co-equal branches.
and most of these hearings are bogus anyway

When Chat GPT Doesn't Want to be Censored Anymore
Spent a week researching every state law or regulation on Bitcoin. Opportunities, threats, and the bad actors.
Massive write-up incoming.

I'm working on state-level model policy for Bitcoin across different US jurisdictions on GitHub.
Would welcome contributions/feedback from plebs, analysts, legal types, developers, etc.
The idea is to enshrine sovereign use of Bitcoin and prevent bad legislation at local levels through pre-emption.
We are working with a number of state House reps and state Senators to present these ideas into amendments or standalone bills. We already have one model policy finished, but looking to add additional ideas.
main policy ideas:
-money transmitter license reciprocity (if a brokerage/firm has an MTL in one state, it can automatically apply in another)
-pre-emption (counties and cities are barred from restricting Bitcoin + cryptocurrency transactions)
-mining price nondiscrimination (public utilities cannot charge discriminatory rates for firms that do proof-of-work hashing/mining)

Now that I’m forced to find a new apartment, I’m looking to fire up the T15 miner again. Just wish it could run the Braiins software for overclocking and the like. Hate using the antminer stuff (still have BTC locked up in a pool I can’t get out)
I’ve lived most of my life in countries where I didn’t have the right to vote. I had as much impact on government as domestic citizens — NONE
Why are government employees dicking around on TikTok on stated-owned devices anyway
How does one appropriately become a prepper in an apartment
Finishing my write-up on current the "silent march" of US state policies that affect Bitcoin: money transmitter licenses, changing money definitions, environmental rules for mining, etc.
I also try to name the names of the various lobbying forces that are trying to debank Bitcoin companies, cut off transmitter licenses, and monopolize all "crypto" rules.
Look for it coming soon!
As a reminder, Peach Bitcoin Beta 0.2 goes live in 3 days!

This week we get a bit reactionary. It's hard not to. Lab leak, CCP funding the Trudeau foundation, lies about inflation, stopping energy development. A hard time for consumers.
