As Lab Grown Diamonds (LGD) become more accepted with the younger generations the effect of bringing down the price of Natural Diamonds (ND) doesn’t seem to be happening, rather LGD seem to be going up in cost. I have been a fan of LGD for years but couldn’t convince my wife as she just thought of them as cubic zirconia or a cheap knockoff diamond. In reality LGD are really diamonds but without the De beers marketing. Lately the marketing has been instead of save 20% and get a LGD, it has been, pay the same price and get a 25% bigger diamond. Basically the whole industry gets on my nerves.

Influencer culture is so tempting. The thought of making passive income from a YT channel, podcast, or just social media posting. In reality it’s all just fiat work with people being advertised to. I realize it’s easy for me to be critical of influencers as I have no large follower counts on any platform. Maybe this is just the natural way of the world, sales makes more money than service. Random thoughts.
