Peer 2 Peer with no middleman was where I saw the most value but realized cash could still fill that gap in most of my transactions if I needed a private and final settlement. The chapter in the @Lyn Alden book Broken Money taking about how the British Government lied about their war bonds being over subscribed is wild. The war bonds didn't sell and they printed money in an under handed way to buy the remaining bonds to make it look like the public was behind the war. The audit of their actions didn't happen for 103 years. The British Government stole the money to fund the war through debasement. It became the model of theft that governments use so openly today. #bitcoin
